Pneumatic conveying – A principle pioneered by Gericke

Pneumatic conveying, a principle pioneered by Gericke, set new standards in powder conveying technology.

The business begins to expand, and the brothers successfully develop and acquire a new property, Sihlquai 73-75, near Zurich’s central railway station. The tradition of quality and innovation laid down in the early years lived on with the second generation of Gericke’s.

Along with the engineer O. Soder, Gericke developed a revolutionary roller mill. This newly developed product incorporated a horizontal millstone and stone segment. The patented design produced considerably improved flour yields for millers throughout the thirties and forties.
